Pushkar
Rajasthan is a state of colors and Cattle fair in Pushkar is the just small part of beautiful Rajasthani culture. Pushkar is a small town nearby the religious city of Ajmer, hosts an annual event called Pushkar Fair. The fair, visited by Foreigners as well as Indians, is perhaps the largest gathering in any fair. It is the largest cattle fair of the world, celebrated during the month of October – November. A spotlight of one’s holiday in India, the camel Festival hosts 50,000 camels in this magnificent event which are sold, decorated, saved and raced. From mere 14000 to 200000, this is how the spectators swell during the fair. Dance, music and colorful shops spring up during this fair. The colorful attire reflects the zeal and mood of folk of Rajasthan. Further, puppet show and more traditional games enchant the tourists. |
