Kaziranga Tourism

Located in the heart of Assam on the bank of majestic Brahamputra, Kaziranga National Park is home for world’s largest one-horned rhinoceroses as well as many mammals, tigers, elephants, panthers and bird It is spreaded around 430 square km area and declared as National Park in 1940. It is also included as World heritage site by UNESCO.


The flora and fauna of Kaziranga boasts of world’s largest one-horned rhinoceros and besides them there are another several animals such as Tigers leopard, Indian gray mongoose, small green mongoose, Bengal fox Golden jackals, Sloth Bear, Chinese and Indian pangolin Golden languor etc that thrill the heart of wildlife seekers.

Kaziranga has been identified by Birdlife International as an important Bird Area. It is the home of variety of migratory birds, water birds, predatours, scavengers and game birds. Grey lags geese; Bar-Headed Geese, Ruddy Shelduck, Gadwall, Falcate duck and Northern Shoveller are some of them. Viewing of birds near the grassland is an awesome scene which will not be faded.

The best time to visit the park is from mid November to April. And at that time you will find the real enigma of exploring a virgin flora and fauna of Kaziranga National park. During the rainy season, the park is flooded with water of Brahmaputra causing the migration of animals from low lying areas. The unmatched beauty of the park is mesmerizing viewing of amalgamation of flora and fauna.
